Thalapathy 63: Sun TV bags satellite rights of Vijay’s next with Atlee
Shoot for Vijay’s upcoming film with director Atlee is silently progressing. The movie touted to be a sports-based entertainer has Nayanthara as the female lead. AGS Entertainment is producing the movie, which is scheduled for a grand Diwali release in October. Latest news is that market leader Sun TV has bought the movie’s satellite rights. Though the exact figure has not yet been disclosed, it is said to be one of the biggest ever for a Tamil movie.
Thalapathy 63 (working title) is a highly anticipated film as Vijay’s previous two outings with Atlee – Theri and Mersal – emerged as huge blockbusters. According to the makers, this film will be different from the other two films as Vijay is trying something he has not done before. He reportedly plays the role of a sports coach in the film.
The movie also stars ‘Pariyerum Perumal’ fame Kathir, Vivek, Daniel Balaji, Anand Raj and Yogi Babu. On the technical front, music department is handled by maestro AR Rahman and cinematography by GK Vishnu.Editor Antony Ruben, lyricist Vivek and production designer Muthuraj are also part of the team.
