Thalapathy 66: Vijay and Vamshi Paidipally to do a pan-Indian film?
Speculations are rife that Thalapathy Vijay is set to team up with Telugu filmmaker Vamshi Paidipally for a big-budget project. Buzz is that Vamshi has narrated a script to Vijay, which the actor liked. This project, planned as a pan-Indian one, might be bankrolled by Dil Raju of Sri Venkateswara Creations. An official confirmation is awaited in this regard.
Vamshi Paidipally is well known for helming mainstream films like ‘Brindavanam’, ‘Yevadu’ and ‘Oopiri’ (‘Thozha’, in Tamil). His last film ‘Maharshi’ starring Mahesh Babu was a huge commercial success. The film also won the National award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.
In the last few years, Vijay has considerably expanded his popularity outside Tamil Nadu. If this speculated project with Vamshi materializes, it will be a huge booster for his stardom. The star’s next, tentatively titled as ‘Thalapathy 65’, is helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar. Shoot for the same was progressing in Georgia when the second wave of pandemic worsened. The team will be hoping to resume shoot once the situation gets better.
