Tomichan Mulakupadam is hopeful about the audience supporting Ramaleela
Dileep’s upcoming movie Ramaleela was slated to hit screens this coming Friday but has now been postponed to July 21. Producer Tomichan Mulakupadam has informed that the some post-production works are yet to be completed and hence they had to push the release by two weeks. He has pinned high expectations on the movie and he hopes to see the movie being enjoyed by the audience irrespective of all the recent issues.
Ramaleela is a political thriller directed by newcomer Arun Gopy.
The movie, scripted by noted scenarist Sachy is in stark contrast to Dileep’s last few outings. He is playing the role of a non-practising lawyer, a common man, who by circumstances becomes an MLA. The movie will reflect Kerala’s contemporary political scenario.
Amidst all the political affairs, the movie will also have an endearing mother – son relationship. Veteran Kollywood actress Raadhika Sarathkumar is making a comeback to Kollywood after two decades by playing Dileep’s mother.
Prayaga Rose Martin will be seen as the female lead. The cast also includes Mukesh, Renji Panicker, Siddique, Salim Kumar, Vijayaraghavan, Suresh Krishna and Kalabhavan Shajon in supporting roles.
Shaji Kumar has cranked the camera while Vivek Harshan is in charge of the edits. Gopi Sunder has handled the music department. Tomichan Mulakupadam’s Mulakupadam Films have funded the movie.
