Vada Chennai does great business at the international box office
Vada Chennai continues to do good business across all the release centres. Releasing on October 17, the movie opened to excellent reviews from both critics and commoners. Many leading critics have rated it as one of the finest gangster flicks ever made in Indian cinema. Not just in Tamil Nadu, the movie is doing well in overseas centres as well.
As per trade analyst Ramesh Bala, the movie has collected Rs 2.19 cr in USA, Rs 44.51 Lacs in Australia, Rs 46.28 Lacs in UK and Rs 30.84 Lacs in Malaysia, by the end of first weekend. His tweet reads,

Vada Chennai is an epic gangster saga that spans different timelines. The movie traces the life of a set of people based in the North Chennai region. It explores the social and political setting of the place and the functioning of their underworld. The movie is expected to continue its good run in the coming weeks as well.
Along with Dhanush, actors like Ameer, Andrea Jeremiah, Aishwarya Rajesh, Samuthirakani, Daniel Balaji, Kishore, Pawan and Radha Ravi have essayed other major roles in the movie. Dhanush’s own banner Wunderbar Films is producing the movie jointly with Lyca Productions.
