Veyyon Silli: New song from Soorarai Pottru to be launched in Spicejet Boeing 737
Suriya’s ‘Soorarai Pottru’ is gearing up for summer release. The film’s promotion activities are set to get a massive kickoff. After the launch of ‘Maara’ theme, recently it was announced that the second single ‘Veyyon Silli’ will be released on February 13. The makers have now announced Spicejet as the official airline partner of the movie. Interestingly, the song will be released in a Spicejet Boeing 737 flight. Spicejet Chairman Ajay Singh will unveil the Spicejet Boeing 737 flight with the film’s poster branding on the same day.
‘Soorarai Pottru’ directed by ‘Irudhi Suttru’ fame Sudha Kongara is loosely based on the life of GR Gopinath, the founder of Air Deccan, who is also a retired captain of the Indian army. Suriya plays a character named Nedumaaran Rajangam Maara, a common man hailing from a small town who dreams of owning an aircraft business. So it is only ideal that the promotion activities are centred around aircrafts.
Sudha has scripted ‘Soorarai Pottru’ along with Shalini Usha Nair. Along with Suriya, the cast also includes veterans Paresh Rawal, Jackie Shroff and Mohan Babu in important roles. Malayali actress Aparna Balamurali plays the female lead. Guneet Monga’s Sikhya Entertainment is producing the film jointly with Suriya’s own production house, 2D Entertainment.
