Vikram develop his physique and train in horse riding for Mahavir Karna!!
As we already know, director RS Vimal of ‘Ennu Ninte Moideen’ fame is teaming up with Vikram for an ambitious film on the mythological figure Karnan. Titled as ‘Mahavir Karna’, the movie will be made as a bilingual in Hindi and Tamil, and later dubbed to other languages. Recently, the movie was officially kick-started with a pooja in Sree Padmanabha Swamy temple in Thiruvananthapuram. Shoot for the movie will be commencing in January.
Vikram will be undergoing a completed physical transformation for the film. The actor is well known for the hardwork and efforts he puts in to get into the skin of a character. For the character plays Karna, who is a warrior, he is developing a ripped physique. Besides that he will also be training in horse riding and riding and other related activities.
According to director RS Vimal, the movie will be a retelling of the Mahabharata from Karnan’s point of view. It will have two-and-a-half hour duration, out of which half-an-hour will feature the Kurukshetra war sequence. The art department is currently building a giant chariot, which can accommodate up to 1000 people. Set works are progressing in Ramoji Rao Film City, where major portions of the month will be shot. The pre-visualisation for the entire film is complete. Around 60-70 percent of the film will be dependent on VFX.
The makers have planned a grand launch event where the cast and crew details will be officially announced. It is being widely reported that several top stars from Indian cinema and Hollywood will be part of the movie. It is a mega project planned to be made on an estimated budget of Rs 300 crores. A New York based production house United Film Kingdom is backing this film.
