Waiting to see Thalapathy magic on screen: Malavika Mohanan
The wait for Vijay starrer ‘Master’ is growing impatient among the fans. The film was originally supposed to hit screens on April 9 but that’s when Covid-19 played spoilsport. Due to the lockdown, the makers were forced to postpone all their plans. Since the Covid-19 scare in India is yet to be negated, there is an uncertainty regarding when theatres will be opened and films start releasing again.
Malavika Mohanan, who is paired with Vijay in the film, in a tweet wrote that like others she is also waiting to see Thalapathy magic on screen. ‘Master’ is Malavika’s second outing in Tamil after ‘Petta’. She plays a college professor’s role in the film. Vijay also essays the part of a professor. His character John Durairaj is also the Dean of Students Association in an arts and science college. Actors like Gouri Kishan, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, Ramya Subramaniam and many others will be seen as students.
Written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, ‘Master’ promises to be a different kind of mass entertainer from what Vijay has been doing of late. The makers have repeatedly confirmed this. Lokesh has also assured that the film will be a treat whenever it hits screens. While fans have been requesting for the trailer, the makers have decided to release the trailer only after the film’s final release date is confirmed.
