Chillayile: Here’s a new song from Soubin-Suraj starrer Vikrithi
‘Vikrithi’ starring Suraj Venjaramoodu and Soubin Shahir in the lead roles is gearing up to hit screens next month. The film was recently censored with a clean U certificate and it is now set for release on October 4 (Friday). Debutant Ajeesh P Thomas has scripted the film and is directed by Emcy Joseph.
Last day, the makers released a new song online. Titled as ‘Chillayile’, the song is rendered by Harisankar, the most wanted playback singer in Malayalam at present. Santhosh Varma has penned the lyrics and it is composed by Bijibal. Thanks to the good response to the trailer and earlier released song, ‘Vikrithi’ has a positive buzz in social medias.
The film is inspired from a real life incident when a hearing impaired person sleeping in Kochi metro was assumed to be a drunkard. His photos were shared online and subjected to trolls. When news came out about his real condition, it was a moment of big collective embarrassment for the Malayali social media circle. In the film, ‘Vikrithi’, Suraj Venjaramoodu essays the disabled person’s role and Soubin plays the role of the guy who took his photos.
A D Sreekumar, Ganesh Menon and Lakshmi Warrier are jointly producing the film under the banner of Cut 2 Create Pictures. Century Films will be presenting the film in Kerala.
