Here’s the trailer of Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi
As we had reported earlier, Kangana Ranaut is starring in the biopic based on the life of Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi. The movie titled as Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is gearing up for release next month. The movie’s official trailer was released a while back in social medias. The trailer looks highly promising and has all the elements of an epic war film. Radha Krishna Jagarlamundi is directing the movie and is scripted by KV Vijayendra Prasad, the writer of ‘Baahubali’ series.
The trailer shows how India was a successful nation till the Brtish invasion. As they try to conquer Jhansi, queen Manikarnika, decides to fight for her motherland. The trailer has Kangana as a fierce sword wielding warrior. The two-time National award winning actress has put in lot of efforts for the movie. To play the character of Rani Laxmi Bhai, she had undergone training in horse riding, sword fighting and basic martial arts.
Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi stars TV actress Ankita Lokhande as Jhalkaribai. The movie has Atul Kulkarni as Tatya Tope, Suresh Oberoi in the role of Peshwa Bajirao and Jisshu Sengupta will essay the character of Gangadhar Rao. Jishu Sengupta, Danny Denzongappa, Zeeshan Ayub and many others are also part of the supporting cast.
Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is scheduled to hit screens worldwide on 25th Jan 2019, a day before the Republic Day.
