Kanne Uyirin: Here’s a new song from The Priest
Mammootty starrer ‘The Priest’ continues to have a good run at the Kerala box office. Hitting screens on March 11, the film opened to excellent response with fans lapping up the film. The film also got released outside Kerala on March 19. Meanwhile, the makers have released a new video song from the film. The song titled ‘Kanne Uyirin’ is composed, arranged and produced by Rahul Raj. Harinarayanan BK has penned the lyrics and Narayani Gopan has lent her vocals. The song is about the bond between Manju Warrier and Nikhila Vimal, who play sisters in the film.
‘The Priest’ directed by debutant Jofin T Chacko is a mystery-thriller with supernatural elements in it. Mammootty plays a priest named Father Carmen Benedict, who assists the police department in solving crimes. Apart from that, he is also into parapsychology. During one such investigation, he comes across a mysterious girl named Ameya. The narrative is majorly centred around his encounter with the girl. ‘Kaithi’ fame Baby Monica plays the kid’s role while Nikhila Vimal and Manju Warrier essay other important roles.
