Yaazha Yaazha: First song from Vijay Sethupathi-Shruti Haasan starrer Laabam out
The makers of upcoming Tamil film ‘Laabam’ have released the first single online. Starring Vijay Sethupathi and Shruti Hassan as the leads, it is by directed by National award winning filmmaker SP Jhananathan. The song titled ‘Yaazha Yaazha’ is composed by D Imaan and sung by Shruti Haasan. Yugabharathi has penned the lyrics.
SP Jhananathan is well known for his films like ‘Iyarkai’, ‘E’, ‘Purampokku’ and ‘Peranmai’. Like his earlier films, ‘Laabam’ is also said to be a socially relevant one that discusses about the plight of the farmers in the country today.
Vijay Sethupathi plays a character named Pakkiri, who is the leader of the farmers association. Shruti Haasan essays a character named Sriranjani, a singer who travels to different places to educate people. Jagapathi Babu plays the the antagonist’s role. ‘Madras’ fame Kalaiyarasan, Sai Dhansika and Daniel are also there in prominent roles.
On the technical front, D Imman is handling the music department and the film has cinematography is by Ramji. ‘Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren’ director Arumugakumar and Vijay Sethupathi are jointly producing the film.
