10 years of Big B: “Mammootty changed our lives” says Amal Neerad
Today marks the 10th year anniversary of the stylish mass Amal Neerad movie Big B. It was Amal’s debut directoral movie. Apart from the director, it was one of Mammootty’s career best stylish flicks ever released. The role Bilal John Kurishinkal was accepted by audience worldwide.
On the occasion of the 10th anniversary this is what the director had got to tell, “Big B was not just a film for us, it was our livelyhood. We had thought it was our last voyage in the Noah’s Ark, but then Mammukka came in as a hero and helped us to succeed in life. He was the real backbone in our movie. We would also love to thank our friends and critics for pointing out the good and bad in all our flicks”
Big B was a more than expected gift that Mammootty had presented to his innumerable fans. The crew had used their maximum to show out the mass and swag that the actor had in. After making a gigantic collection at the box office, the movie was also top trending on torrent. Even now Bilal John is fan favorite and loved by all.
Amal had earlier assisted Ram Gopal Varma for his Bollywood films and then in 2007 came up with the idea of Big B. His college buddie Samir Tahir had cranked the camera for this action thriller. Alphons Joseph and Gopi Sundar handled the music department. The much appreciated dialogues in the movie were written by Unni R. On the 10th anniversary of Big B coincidentally the same director is filming a movie with the actor’s son in the lead role. Comrade in America is expected to hit theaters on the 5th of May.
