Here’s the first look of Dhanush’s Asuran
As reported by us earlier, Dhanush and director Vetrimaaran are joining hands once again, for a new movie titled ‘Asuran’. First look poster of the movie was released just a while back through Dhanush’s official social media handle. Malayali actress Manju Warrier has been signed as the female lead. The marks her first non-Malayalam film after being in the industry for nearly two decades. She is said to be playing a very prominent role in the movie.

Dhanush has previously collaborated with director Vetrimaaran for acclaimed films like ‘Polladhavan’, ‘Aadukalam’ and ‘Visaranai’. ‘Aadukalam’ alone won six awards at the National level. ‘Visaranai’, which was co-produced by Dhanush, apart from winning multiple National awards, was also India’s official submissions to the Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film. Their last outing ‘Vada Chennai’ was also successful, both critically and commercially.
‘Asuran’, which is reportedly based on the novel ‘Vekkai’ by Poomani, is all set to start rolling from tomorrow (January 26). The movie has GV Prakash handling the music department and Velraj as the cinematographer.
