Mammootty’s Tamil movie Peranbu to release in Malayalam
Mammoootty after a long gap is starring in a Tamil movie. Peranbu, directed by Ram has been long in the making. It is said to be an emotional drama just like Ram’s previous movie Katradhu Thamizh and Thanga Meengal.
According to sources, Peranabu will be a bilingual made in Tamil and Malayalam. Reportedly, It was Mammootty who had convinced the director to release the movie in Malayalam also as he felt it suit the sensibilities of the Malayalam audience as well.
Yuvan Shankar Raja is scoring the music for Peranbu while National award winner Sreekar Prasad is handling the editing. The movie is produced by PL Thenappan under the banner Sri Rajalakshmi Films.
Anjali is female lead in this movie which also stars Suraj Venjaramoodu, Thanga Meengal fame Baby Sadhana and Kaniha in other important roles. Several bilinguals are now releasing in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu.
Mohanlal’s Vismayam, Janatha Garage were bilinguals in Malayalam and Telugu. Now Oppam and Pulimurugan is also dubbed in other languages. This new trend is part of the wider market of Malayalam movies.
Mammootty’s next release The Great Father was initially scheduled to be released for the Christmas season but the makers have postponed the date to January date beacuse of the post production works.
Peranabu is a much awaited project that is expected to showcase the amazing acting prowess of the 3 time National award winner.
