Mohanlal and Jackie Chan to team up in Nair San
Mollywood’s biggest superstar Mohanlal has been having a great past 10-12 months with all his releases becoming hits and two of them grossing more than 100 crores from the box office. Moreover, the actor has a handful of exciting projects in his kitty. Now according to latest reports Mohanlal will be teaming up with global superstar Jackie Chan in an upcoming movie.
Reports about the two superstars joining together for a movie has been doing the rounds for a long time now. It was first reported in 2008 that Mohanlal and Jackie Chan will be playing the main leads in a movie titled as Nair San directed by Albert Antony. The plot of the movie is set in the pre-independence period. Mohanlal is said to be playing the role of a soldier who inspires freedom fighters in Japan against the British colonial rule. Jackie Chan is said to play the role of a martial arts trainer.
The project was dropped because of the lack of market for Mohanlal in the overseas centres. But now the makers after being the massive success of Mohanlal starrers Pulimurugan and Janatha Garage
in the overseas centres, are planning to take the project forward.
