Sai Pallavi to reprise Kannamma’s character in Ayyappanum Koshiyum remake!
There have been numerous speculations about the cast of the remake of superhit Malayalam film ‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’. The film is already confirmed to be remade in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages. Remake rights have already been bagged by top production houses from the respective industries and pre-production works are currently underway.
In Telugu, it is said that Pawan Kalyan will be playing one of the lead roles. For the other lead, names like Rana Daggubatti and Nithin are doing the rounds. Latest buzz is that Sai Pallavi has been approached to essay one of the female lead’s part. She will be reprising the role of Kannamma, which was played by Gowri Nandha in the original. Her performance in the film was widely appreciated. Being a proven performer, Sai Pallavi seems to be a great choice but the makers still have to confirm about the same.
Venki Atlury, known for directing films like ‘Tholi Prema’ and ‘Rang De’, is likely to helm the Telugu version of ‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’. The original directed by late Sachy revolves around a raging conflict between a policeman and a retired havildar. Since the film was a huge hit, the makers of the remake versions will be hoping to repeat a similar success.
