Taare Zameen Par fame Darsheel Safari is all set for a comeback
Darsheel Safari, the bucktooth kid who left the audience in tears with his endearing performance in Aamir Khan’s Taare Zameen Par is making a comeback to Bollywood. Darsheel’s portrayal of Ishaan Avasthi, a dyslexic boy struggling to cope up with his family’s pressure to do well in studies, won him the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor.
The 20 year old in his comeback is playing the lead in debutant Pradip Atluri’s Quickie, a coming of age love story. Official first look poster of the movie was unveiled yesterday.
Darsheel Safari is seen sporting a funky haircut and a goatee. Quickie is produced by Amul Vikas Mohan, Tony D’Souza and Nitin Upadhyaya. The movie will start rolling in March this year.
After Taare Zameen Par, Darsheel went on to star in movies like Priyadarshan’s Bumm Bumm Bole, Zokkomon and Midnight’s Children.
