Our Mega star Mammootty may not be In the best of his form for last four years, but once a mega star is always a mega star. Megastar Mammootty is not in a mood to cut down the number films he does in an year. He does not had a big hit in last four years and the search for that big hit is still going on. But he has handful of films in hands in the coming years too.
He is now on a comeback trial after a series of flops started with the film Munnariyippu,directed by Venu. Munnariyippu even though was not a success at box office,still got great appreciation from the critics and Mammootty’s performance was widely appreciated. Later his film Rajadhiraja got average success in box office and he has clearly came on to the track. Now his film Varsham also getting decent reviews and the three time national award winning actor is all set for an extremely tight 2015-2016 schedule. As per reports almost above 15 projects are ready to go on floors with The Mega star in the lead role.
His new release is Ranjith Sankar’s directorial ‘Varsham’ is getting mixed reviews from the viewers and now he is acting as the lead in Deepu Karunakaran’s directorial venture ‘Fireman’ produced by Milan jaleel under the banner of Galaxy films. Other major projects awaiting him include Siddique’s ‘Bhaskar the Rascal’, Kamal’s movie, Lal Junior’s ‘Driving License’, a movie directed by Marthandan whose first film was ‘Daivathinte Swantham Cleetus’ starred Mammootty, Joshiy-Ranjan Pramod project after Naran, Anjali Menon film, the directorial debut of the script writer of Akhil Paul ,who was the script writer of the super hit film ‘7th day’ starred Prithvi Raj etc. Movies by hit maker Vysakh, whose first film was Pokkiri Raja with Mammootty and Prithviraj in the lead, Boban Samuel film, Martin Prakkat-Anoop Menon team joining together for the first time, debut of Jamal are the projects which are on the pipeline. Apart from these Films by Anwar Rasheed ,whose first film was Rajamanickyam with Mammootty in the lead and Vineeth Sreenivasan are also now on the planning stages.
