The Much awaited Kollywood film starring none other than. The flick which is directed by Chimbu Deven was all set to hit the screens all over the world on September 17th. But the news from many media and some sources says that the flick had postponed its release and the new date is said to be on October 1 this year. The team behind the film had reportedly confirmed the news and according to their version the film needs some more time to complete the graphics and special effects work and that is why this postponement of the release date happened just few weeks before the earlier announced date.
The trailer of the film had released a week back and had got tremendous response from fans as it had created a record in YouTube in the number of viewers. It had completed almost 2 lakhs viewers within hours of its YouTube Release and also within four days its number raised to almost 40 lakhs. If the reports are to be believed it will become the most viewed film trailer in India without much delay. The anticipation and hype around the film is the main reason behind this awesome reception for the trailer.
The flick which is a fantasy-adventure comedy thriller has been made on a budget above 120 crores which is the highest in Tamil film industry now. There was also a news that came in earlier that the male lead in the film Vijay had received a remuneration of over 20 cr rupees to act in this film and he is second only to Super Star Rajinikanth in Tamil now.
The postponing of the release date of the film had made some other films’ release in dilemma. Films such as Vikram starrer 10 Enradhukulla is set to release in October and now the problem of screen shortage will affect those films as Puli is eyeing a record release. The postponement of Puli also indicates that Mollywood film Life of Josootty starring Dileep will now get more screens to release which is said to be releasing in almost 170+ screens now by Eros International.
