There is a cinema hall in Tamilnadu named Ram Muthuram Cinemas. It was situated in Tirunelveli at South part of Tamilnadu and the theater is very much popular in the whole state as well. The theater is regarded as a fort of Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay films and the rush for films starring Vijay at that theater is always stunning and that is also very much popular among all. Till now the greatest collection earned from there was only Vijay films and the record of single day collection there was also set by the Vijay starrer flick named Kaththi last year.
The records is such that the film Kaththi had earned a whopping 13.5 lakh rupees from that theater with 7 shows on a single day or on the opening day. But now the Thala film Vedalam had surpassed that record and set the new one for next Vijay film. Vedalam had earned 14 lakhs rupees from its opening day there with 7 shows. The fact remain that the ticket rate at the theater was different from the time of Kaththi release. But when we look at the figures it is a record.
There has been also reports that Vedalam had earned rupees 15 crore from its first day from Tamilnadu alone and it will be the new record in opening day Tamilnadu collections if the report is true. Anyway there is a challenge for Vijay now from Thala and everybody is now waiting for the next Vijay film to know whether Thalapathy will surpass the record at Ram Muthuram Cinemas to take back his fort.
