National film awards for the best performances in different categories, of the films released in 2014 will be declared most probably in the last week of March 2015. According to the reports coming in the competition for best actor of 2014 will be between Mammootty for his performance in the film Munnariyippu, Aamir Khan for his performance in the film PK and Shahid Kapoor for his performance in the film named Haider.
There may be surprises like Suraj Venjarammood got last year’s best actor award. But we are giving the most probable candidates who can get this award this time. 11 Malayalam films are submitted before the Central jury by the regional jury. There 80 films from all over India is taking part in the race to win the awards in various categories as well. Veteran Kollywood film director Bharathi Raja is the chairman of the central jury.
Kangana Raut and Priyanka Chopra are the leading actresses who has got more chances of winning the award for best actress of 2014. Kangana for her performance in the film Queen and Priyanka Chopra foe her performance in the film named Mary Kom. The 11 Malayalam films that has been submitted before the central jury are Munnariyippu directed by Venu, Ottal directed by Jayaraj, Oralappokkam directed by Sanal Kumar Sasidharan, Alif directed by K Muhammad Koya, Jalam directed by M Padma Kumar, Njan Ninnod Koode Und directed by Priyanandanan, Compartment directed by national award winning actor Salim Kumar ,Ain directed by Sidharth Siva, Life Partner directed by Padma kumar and Njan directed by Renjith.
Banglore Days will compete in the section of Popular movie award. The regional jury comprises of Directors like Kamal and Bhagyaraj had selected the film for submitting to the central jury and central jury is considering the films now for the awards. Mollywood this time had strong competition from Bollywood which have great films like Haider, Queen, Mary Kom and PK.
Ottal directed by Jayaraj has the chance to win the best regional film award as per reports. From Tamil film industry films like Jigarthanda directed by Karthik Subbaraj and Thalaimuraigal directed by Balu Mahendra is the race for awards. Apart from that Bengali and Marathi films also are in strong contention for the awards. Last the best actor award was shared by Mollywood actor Suraj Venjarammood and Bollywood actor Raj Kumar Rao.
