I am waiting to watch Pulimurugan: Salman Khan
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is currently busy with the promotions of his next release Tubelight. The movie, helmed by Bhajrangi Bhaijaan director Kabir Khan is all set to hit screens on June 23 for Eid.
Salman Khan along with the team of Tubelight attended a press meet in UAE recently as part of promotions. A representative from Club FM UAE asked Salman about working with two of Mollywood’s biggest directors- Siddique and Priyadarshan- and how much Malayalam cinema has influenced Bollywood.
Salman was quick to acknowledge the fact that both his films with the directors- Kyon Ki and Bodyguard- were remake of Malayalam movies. When asked whether he has watched any Malayalam movies of late, Salman instantly replied that he will be soon watching Mohanlal’s Pulimurugan. The superstar was even aware that it’s Mollywood’s biggest blockbuster till date.
It is truly a proud moment for Malayalam movie lovers to see biggies from Bollywood looking up to our so called small industry and appreciating our works. Pulimurugan, released last year emerged as the first 100 crore grosser of Mollywood, thus making it’s way to the elite club.
Meanwhile, Salman is simultaneously shooting for Tiger Zinda Hai with Katrina Kaif. It is the sequel to his 2012 blockbuster spy thriller Ek Tha Tiger. The movie is being directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and is eyeing a Christmas release.
