Official: Vijay Sethupathy along with Chiranjeevi and Amitabh Bachchan
One of South Indian cinema’s biggest superstars, Chiranjeevi is celebrating his 62nd birthday today. The title and first look motion poster of his next film was unveiled today. Director SS Rajamouli had the honour of releasing the title logo and motion poster of the film at an event organized to celebrate Chiranjeevi’s birthday.
The movie has been titled Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. It is a biopic on freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy. This high profile project is being funded by his son Ram Charan under the banner Konidela Production Company. The makers are investing a whopping budget of over Rs 150 crores for this historic movie.
Surender Reddy is directing this ambitious movie. He is popular for some of his blockbuster films like Kick, Race Gurram and Dhruva. Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy has a huge star-studded cast. Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, Nayanthara, Kichcha Sudeep and Jagapathi Babu are part of the movie. Tamil cinema’s hot favourite Vijay Sethupathy has also been roped in to play a very prominent role in the movie. The immensely talented actor will be making his Telugu with this movie.
Music maestro AR Rahman has been brought on board to compose tunes for this movie. Ace cinematographer Ravi Varman will be cranking the camera. The project officially went on floors on August 16 with a customary pooja ceremony.
