‘Appani’ sarath Kumar in National award winner Raju Murugan’s new Tamil movie
Lijo Jose Pellissery’s Angamaly Diaries introduced a bunch of talented actors to the world of cinema. One of the most impressive performers among them was Sarath Kumar, who played the role of Appani Ravi. He left a huge mark with his stellar perfomance as the terrifying antagonist.
Sarath does not have the conventional looks of an actor. But with his amazing performance in his debut movie, he proved that physical looks are not really important as long as one possesses real talent. Post the success of Angamaly Diaries, Sarath was flooded with offers.
After sharing screen space with superstar Mohanlal in Velipadinte Pusthakam, Sarath is now making his entry to Kollywood. As we had reported earlier, Sarath will be seen in a crucial role in the seqeul of Sandakozhi, directed by Lingusamy.
Now the latest bit of information we gather is that Sarath has bagged another film in Tamil. He will be seen as one of the leads in debutant Saravanan Rajendran’s yet-to-be-titled movie. One of the major highlights of this upcoming movie is that National award winner Raju Murugan is scripting it.
Raju Murugan is well knwon for his films like Cuckoo and Joker, both of which are widely acclaimed. The latter won a National award last year for the best feature film in Tamil. This is the first time he is scripting for another director though he has penned dialogues in Thozha.
Besides Sarath Kumar, the movie also stars Rangaraj and Shwetha Tripathi are in lead roles. Selvakumar will be cranking the camera and Sean Roldan has been roped in to handle the music department. More details regarding the title and other cast members will be officially announced very soon.
Sarath has bagged his second Tamil movie even before the release of his debut film. That shows the kind of talent he is. He also has a couple of Malayalam films in his kitty. He is playing the lead role in Kottayam Nazeer’s maiden directorial and debutant Safeer Thailan’s Amala. Sarath will be next seen in a key role in Neeraj Madhav’s Paippinchuvattile Pranayam.
