Kumbalangi Nights starts rolling!
Kumbalangi Nights, the latest from the famed trio of Dileesh Pothan-Syam Pushkaran-Fahadh Faasil went on floors today. Unlike their previous films, Maheshinte Prathikaram and Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum, the roles are different this time. Madhu C Narayanan, a former associate of Dileesh Pothan and Aashiq Abu, is making his directorial debut with this movie. Besides scripting, Syam Pushkaran is also producing the movie jointly with Dileesh Pothan and Fahadh Faasil.
Kumbalangi Nights stars Fahadh Faasil, Shane Nigam, Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi and newcomer Mathew Thomas in the lead roles. According to the makers, the movie is a modern family drama set in Kumbalangi, a suburb of the city of Kochi. Shane Nigam, Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi and Mathew Thomas play brothers in the movie. Fahadh Faasil is playing the villain’s role.
The movie’s technical crew includes cinematographer Shyju Khalid, music director Sushin Shyam and editor Saiju Sreedharan. Syam Pushkaran along with Dileesh Pothan have launched a new production house named Working Class Hero and Kumbalangi Nights is their maiden venture. They are funding the movie jointly with Fahadh Faasil’s banner Fahadh Faasil and Friends.
