Ramya Krishnan to star in Aakasha Ganga sequel
As reported by us earlier, director Vinayan is making a sequel to his 1999 hit film ‘Aakasha Ganga’. The original film had Divya Unni, Mukesh and Mayoori in the leads. When it comes to the sequel, the director has roped in Ramya Krishnan to play a major role. The veteran actress was last seen in Malayalam in ‘Aadupuliyattam’, which interestingly was also a horror flick.
‘Aakasha Ganga 2’ is reportedly been planned as a bilingual in Tamil and Malayalam. The movie has an elaborate supporting cast comprising of actors like Sreenth Bhasi, Salim Kumar, Hareesh Kanaran, Rajamani, Vishnu Vinay, Vishnu Govind, Dharmajan, debutante Arathy, Praveena, Thesni Khan, Niharika and many others.
On the technical front, cinematography is by Prakash Kutty and music by Bijibal. According to director Vinayan, the sequel will be technically sound and richer than the first part, that was released two decades back. Shoot is scheduled to commence from April 24 and the makers have planned to shoot in Palakkad, Pollachi, and Ernakulam.
After the completion of ‘Aakasha Ganga 2’, Vinayan will be starting works for his earlier announced biggie with superstar Mohanlal. The director has also signed for a movie with Jayasurya.
