Forensic second part on cards, hints director Akhil Paul
‘Forensic’ has successfully entered its second week of theatrical run. The film is currently being screened in 255 centres across the country which includes 170 centres in Kerala alone. Social media talks and theatre response have all been highly encouraging and it is safe to say that the film is turning out to be a huge success at the box office.
‘Forensic’ is written and directed by Akhil Paul and Anas Khan. It is basically an investigative-thriller centred around a series of abduction and brutal killing of girl children. Mamta Mohandas plays the character of an IPS officer who heads the investigation and Tovino Thomas essays the role of a medico legal advisor.
Interestingly, the film’s ending leaves a scope for a second part. After successfully solving the pyscho killer’s case, Mamta’s Ritika Xavier is entrusted with a new case about the Nizhalpara murder mystery. In a recent chat with us, director Akhil Paul hinted that there is a possibility for a sequel. Tovino also added that he would love to do a sequel if a proper script comes up.
Let’s hope an official word is out soon.
