Dangal beats PK to become the highest grossing Indian movie ever
Aamir Khan’s Dangal continues to create waves registering massive numbers the box office. The movie released on December 23rd opened to unanimously positive reviews from both the audience as well as the critics. Ever since then, the movie has broken several box office records. On Saturday the movie surpassed the collections of Salman Khan’s all time blockbuster Bhajrangi Bhaijaan.
According to latest reports the Aamir Khan starrer has overthrown his own PK at the box office to become the highest grossing Indian movie of all times. The movie has also become the first film to cross Rs 350-crore mark. Previously PK held the top position with collections of Rs 340 crores. In the third weekend after release, Dangal has registered a whopping amount of Rs 31.79 crores, released in 2015.

Dangal directed by Nitesh Tiwari was also dubbed in Tamil and Telugu languages. The movie is based on the true life story of Mahavir Singh Phogat, a wrestler from Haryana who trained his two daughters Geetha Kumari Phogat and Babita Kumari Phogat into world class wrestlers to bring glory for the country.
While Aamir Khan played Mahavir Singh Phogat’s character, Sakshi Tanwar played his wife in the movie. The daughters parts were played by Fatima Sana Sheikh, Suhani Bhatnagar, Zaira Wasim and Sanya Malhotra. The endearing story of a father and his daughters and Nitesh Tiwari’s skillful direction were backed by stunning performances from the lead cast. The massive box office numbers are just a testament for how well the movie has worked with the audience.
