Kasaba Collection Report – 9 Days
Mammootty movie Kasaba which released on July 7th this year had completed its first week run 2 days before. After completing 9 days of run here in Kerala, the movie had raked in amount near 10.44 crore. The 9th day gross of the film was rupees 41 lakhs. In its first week, the flick had got a total gross around 9.54 crore and on its 8th day it got around 49 lakhs as well.
It had got more than 1.5 crore consecutively in its first 4 days and later the collection dropped below 1 crore. As the working days started, the collection started dipping and it is now going down in a constant rate. It is a natural phenomenon in box office when a movie comes out from its weekend to the working days. The rush decreases, specially for Noon shows and Matinees on the working days and it affects the movie.

Kasaba had got mixed reviews from all over, even though Mammootty fans had celebrated the movie very well. Nithin Renji Panicker had written and conceived this mass movie, which is bankrolled by Alice George under the banner named Goodwill Entertainments. Rahul Raj had tuned the songs and background score of this flick and Sameer Haq cranked the camera.
Varalakshmi Sarath Kumar and Neha Saxena played the female leads in this flick whereas Sambath played the antagonist.
