Kerala Box Office : Ezra Collection Report 3 Days
Prithviraj’s latest release Ezra has taken a massive opening in the Kerala box office. The movie released on February 10 has collected Rs 8.53 crores from it’s first three days of release. On the opening day, the movie raked in 2.61 crores from the 125 odd screens in Kerala.
The weekend collections amounted to Rs 5.92 crores with collections of 2.91 crores from Saturday and 3.01 crores on Sunday. That marked the best ever opening for a Prithviraj movie.
Ezra had great hype even before the release majorly due to the horror thriller genre. The makers promised that the movie will be a never before seen horror experience in Malayalam. Going by the collection reports, Ezra has all the potential to become the biggest hit in Prithviraj’s career.
Ennu Ninte Moideen released in 2015 is his biggest blockbuster till date. The romantic entertainer directed by RS Vimal finds its finds it’s name in the prestigious 50 crore club of Mollywood.
Ezra is directed by newbie Jay K. It is said to be the first Indian movie to have a core plot about the Jewish community in Kerala. The movie has two timelines, spanning from the 1940s to 2016.
Popular South Indian actress Priya Anand marked her Mollywood debut through this movie. Tovino Thomas, Sudev Nair, Babu Antony, debutante Ann Sheetal, Prathap Pothen, Vijayaraghavan, Alencier Ley Lopez and Bharath Dabholkar are also part of the cast.
While Sujith Vaassudev cranked the camera, music department was handled by Rahul Raj and Sushin Shyam. Vivek Harshan was in charge of the edits. Mukesh R. Mehta, C. V. Sarathy and A. V. Anoop have jointly produced the film under the banners E4 Entertainment and AVA Productions.
