Kerala Box Office: Vishwasapoorvam Mansoor Collection Report 14 Days
Vishwasapooravm Mansoor starring Aanandam fame Roshan Mathew and Prayaga Rose Martin in the leads was released on June 23 as an Eid release. The movie, directed by PT Kunjimuhammed was opened to underwhelming response from the critics as well as the common audience.
Vishwasapoorvam Mansoor is a movie that discusses about the current socio-political scenario in the society. Roshan Mathew plays the character Mansoor, a youngster from a wealthy Muslim family who dreams of a careeer in cinema. But destiny has something else written for him. The movie is set in the north Malabar region.
Lack of proper marketing and poor word of mouth has had a big impact on the movie’s collections. According to reports from trade sources, the movie has managed to gross only Rs 25 lakhs from it’s theatrical run in Kerala. Vishwasapooravm Mansoor has ended as a huge boxoffice failure and it has been washed away from almost all the release centres.
The movie has host of supporting actors including Asha Sarath, Renji Panicker, VK Sreeraman, Leona Lishoy, Santhosh Keezhattoor, Sajitha Madathil, Sunil Sughada, Shivaji Guruvayoor among others.
PT Kunjimuhammed has written the dialogues and screenplay for the movie for Jayakrishnan Kaavil’s story. Pandit Ramesh Narayan has composed the music for lyrics written by Rafeeq Ahmed, Prabha Varma and Premdas. The movie is produced by KV Mohanan under the banner of Vergin Plus Movies.
