1971 Beyond Borders : Asha Sarath to play Mohanlal’s pair again
The second schedule of Mohanlal’s upcoming war drama 1971 Beyond Borders directed by Major Ravi, is currently progressing in Palakkad and surrounding areas. The movie has got a new addition to the already ensemble star cast. Asha Sarath will be playing Mohanlal’s pair in this movie. She has earlier acted with Mohanlal in Drishyam and Major Ravi’s Karmayodha, where she played his wife.
The movie is based on the 1971 war between India and Pakistan. Mohanlal is playing two characters Major Mahadevan and Major Sahadevan in this movie. This is the fourth movie in the Major Mahadevan series after Keerthichakra, Kurukshetra and Kandahar.
This big budget movie also stars Telugu actor Allu Sirish, Bollywood actor Arunoday Singh, Priyanka Agarwal and Zoya Zayed Khan in major roles. Earlier Nikki Galrani was roped in to play Allu Sirish’s pair but she later opted out of the project owing to date clashes.
Renji Panicker, Saiju Kurup, Sudheer Karamana and many others are also part of the support cast. First schedule of the movie was completed in Rajasthan in December. There will be another schedule in Uganda where the team is planning to shoot some important scenes.
Popular cinematographer/filmmaker Sujith Vassudev is the cranking the camera while Rahul Subramaniam and Sidharth Vipin is handling the music department. 1971 : Beyond Borders is produced by Haneef Mohammed under the banner Red Rose Creations.
