Alphonse Puthren’s reply to a fan who asked him if he can make a Mankatha model movie with Mohanlal
Superstar Mohanlal is turning 57 today. Wishes are pouring in from fans, colleagues and well wishers all over the world. Celebrities including Mammootty, Virender Sehwag, Dulquer Salmaan, Prithviraj, Nivin Pauly, Asif Ali, Tovino Thomas, Priyadarshan, Aju Varghese, Manju Warrier and many others have wished Mohanlal on his birthday.
Director Alphonse Puthren also wished the star by posting a photo of him with Mohanlal in his Facebook page. One of Alphonse’s followers asked him whether he can make a Mankatha model movie with Mohanlal in the lead.
Alphonse Puthren who is one of the most easy going celebrities in social medias, was quick to reply.
He wrote, “For me Mohanlal is a notch above actors like Clint Eastwood, Toshiro Mifune, Marlon Brando, Al Pacino and Robert De Niro. So when I work with him, should it be for a Mankatha model movie or a world class one?”
Alphonse’s comment is trending in social medias and speculations have already risen about their possible teaming up any time soon. The director had earlier confirmed that his next film will be in Tamil, though he did not reveal details about the cast and other crew members.
But it will be interesting if Alphonse Puthren can come up with something great that can utilize both the actor and star that Mohanlal is. Fingers crossed.
