Andrea Jeremiah likely to play the female lead in Suriya’s Vaadivaasal
Suriya-Vetrimaaran film ‘Vaadivaasal’ is one of the most hyped films in Tamil cinema currently. Though things are still in the initial stages, each update regarding the project is eagerly awaited. Buzz is that the makers are planning to rope in Andrea Jeremiah to play the female lead in the film.
Though it is her first film with Suriya, Andrea has previously worked with director Vetrimaaran in ‘Vada Chennai’. She had also dubbed for Taapsee Pannu’s character in the director’s ‘Aadukalam’. Andrea being a proven performer is expected to be seen in a strong character in ‘Vaadivaasal’.
The film is actually based on CS Chellappa’s popular novel of the same name. It is actually centred around Jallikkattu, a famous bull taming sport practiced from the Tamil classical period. It is said to be a tale of revenge about how an youngster defeats a bull that killed his father.
Kalaippuli S Thanu of V Creations is producing the film. Vetrimaaran’s frequent collaborators, DOP Velraj and music director GV Prakash have been retained for this film as well. More details are awaited.
