Antony Varghese clarifies about him being part of Mani Ratnam’s next!
Last year, Lijo Jose Pellissery introduced a bunch of new faces to the industry with his hit film Angamaly Diaries. One of the most impressive among the 86 actors was, Antony Varghese, who played the protagonist Vincent Pepe. Post the success of Angamaly Diaries, Antony has been getting a lot of offers from the industry.
Recently, rumour mills were abuzz about Antony being cast in legendary filmmaker Mani Ratnam’s upcoming multi-starrer. The director had already confirmed that Arvind Swamy, Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil, Simbu, Jyothika and Aishwarya Rajesh will be part of his movie. It was reported that Antony will be also playing a prominent role.
However, the actor himself has now come out dismissing these reports as baseless. He is currently busy shooting for ‘Swathanthryam Ardharathriyil’, directed by Tinu Pappachan, a former associate of Lijo Jose Pellissery. Chemban Vinod, Vinayakan and Angamaly Diaries fame Tito Wilson are also playing major roles in this movie. Newcomer Dileep Kurian has scripted this movie which is tipped to be an action thriller.
Swathanthryam Ardharathriyil marks the maiden production venture of director B Unnikrishnan. Chemban Vinod Jose and Lijo Jose Pellissery are also part of the team as co-producers.
