Attack on Bhavana; Malayalam film industry comes together in Kochi
Malayalam film industry is in a state of shock after the attack on actress Bhavana late on Friday in Kochi. Almost all the members of the industry have come together in Kochi Durbar Hall ground for a protest meet.
A visibly emotional Mammootty said, “Masculinity is not shown by attacking a woman, it should be by protecting her. We have all come together here to support her. She is the pride of Kerala and the symbol of defiance.”
AMMA President and MP Innocent said, “Till yesterday, we never thought that such incidents will happen in our State. We are all deeply moved. Such incidents should not be celebrated. The police investigation is moving in the right direction and they will not let the criminals get away.”
Manju Warrier, one of the closest friends of Bhavana felt that a major criminal planning have gone behind this shocking attack. “Such a situation can happen to anyone, but the courage with which she has faced it has amazed me“, said Manju Warrier.
Celebrities like Dileep, Suresh Krishna, Asha Sarath, Shamna Kasim, Mridula Murali, Anumol, KPAC Lalitha, Kamal, Joshiy and Ranjith were present in the meeting.
