Bibin George joins the cast of Mammootty’s Shylock
Shoot for Mammootty’s new film ‘Shylock’ is currently progressing at a brisk pace. It is being directed by Ajai Vasudev of ‘Rajadhiraja’ and ‘Masterpiece’ fame. Just like the director’s previous two films, ‘Shylock’ is also shaping up as an action-packed mass entertainer. Along with Mammootty, the movie also has veteran Tamil actor Raj Kiran and Meena in major roles. Latest to join the cast is scriptwriter-turned-actor Bibin George. After acting in supporting and villain roles, Bibin has now done a couple of lead roles. In ‘Shylock’, he is said to be essaying a very important role.
‘Shylock’ is scripted by newcomers Bibin Mohan and Aneesh Hameed. Mammootty plays a financier’s role in the film and his character is said to be a grey shaded one. Raj Kiran, who is making his Malayalam debut, is playing an equally important role. Meena has been paired with him.
‘Shylock’ has been planned as a Tamil-Malayalam bilingual. Even before the completion of shoot, Surya TV have acquired the film’s satellite rights. Though the exact amount for which the rights were sold have not yet been revealed, it is most likely to be quite a hefty amount. Joby George of Goodwill Entertainment is producing the film. If things go as per plans, ‘Shylock’ be hitting screens for this year’s Christmas in December.
