Bollywood Actor Kabir Duhan Singh Joins Suresh Gopi’s ‘Ottakkomban’
Bollywood star Kabir Duhan Singh is set to make his return to Malayalam cinema through the high-budget film ‘Ottakkomban’, produced by Sree Gokulam Movies. After his memorable role as the villain in the pan-Indian blockbuster ‘Marco’, starring Unni Mukundan, Kabir will once again showcase his acting prowess in this film.
‘Ottakkomban’, marking Suresh Gopi’s 250th film, is a milestone project produced by Gokulam Gopalan. Directed by debutant Mathews Thomas and written by Shibin Francis, this film also serves as Suresh Gopi’s first Malayalam movie after assuming his role as a Union Minister.
Kabir Duhan Singh, who has gained widespread recognition across India through his performances in Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, and Hindi films, first debuted in Malayalam cinema with Mammootty and Vysakh’s ‘Turbo’. His presence in ‘Ottakkomban’ is expected to add depth to the story.
The film ‘Ottakomban’ is inspired by the life of Kaduvakkunnel Kuruvachan, a legendary figure from central Travancore’s Meenachil taluk, who once held sway over the Pala region. Suresh Gopi essays the titular role, promising a powerful and mass-oriented performance. The movie is touted as a clean family action drama that effectively showcases Suresh Gopi as both an actor and a star.
The movie features an ensemble cast, including Indrajith Sukumaran, Vijayaraghavan, Lalu Alex, Chemban Vinod, Johny Antony, Biju Pappan, Meghana Raj, and Suchitra Nair, along with over 70 other actors, including many newcomers.
The film has been shot across various locations, including Thiruvananthapuram, Kottayam, Pala, Erattupetta, Kochi, and Hong Kong. The cinematography is helmed by Shaji Kumar, with music composed by Harshavardhan Rameshwar and editing by Vivek Harshan.
The co-producers are V.C. Praveen and Baiju Gopalan, while Krishnamoorthy serves as the executive producer. With its intriguing storyline, massive scale, and stellar cast, ‘Ottakkomban’ is poised to be a grand cinematic experience for moviegoers.
