Brother’s Day and Ittymaani Made In China to clash for Onam
Earlier this year, Mohanlal and Prithviraj came together to deliver the biggest blockbuster in Malayalam cinema history, ‘Lucifer’. The Mohanlal starrer which marked the directorial debut of Prithviraj has already crossed the Rs 200 crore mark and is still running in a few centres in Kerala. After teaming up for ‘Lucifer’, the two stars will now have a direct face off at the box office.
Mohanlal’s ‘Ittymaani Made in China’ and Prithviraj’s ‘Brother’s Day’ are set for a big clash this coming Onam in September. Interestingly, both the films are commercial entertainers, the kind of crowd pleasing mass flicks that the majority audience would love to watch during the festive season. It will be interesting to see which of the two emerge the winner at the Onam box office.
‘Brother’s Day’ directed by Kalabhavan Shajohn promises to be a much needed change for Prithviraj as he has been doing lot of experimental films back to back. The movie also has a big cast, which includes four female leads in Aishwarya Lekshmi, Prayaga Rose Martin, Madonna Sebastian and Miya George. Tamil actor Prasanna is making his Malayalam debut by playing a crucial role in the movie. Listin Stephen is producing it under the banner of Magic Frames.
‘Ittymaani Made in China’ is helmed by debutant director duo Jibi and Joju. Mohanlal fans are highly excited to see a complete fun entertainer after a long gap. Honey Rose plays the female lead in the movie. Antony Perumbavoor is producing it under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas.
