Charlie to become the first Mollywood film to release in Japan with Japanese subtitles !
Dulquer Salmaan film directed by Martin Prakkat had won both the minds of critics and audience in Kerala and it had won almost 8 state film awards as well. Now another achievement had come for the film as it is all set to become the first Malayalam movie to be released in Japan with Japanese subtitles. Director Martin Prakkat officially confirmed this news to Onlookers Media and he is very happy to announce this big news to you all through us.
The film is distributing in Japan by an Indian movie distribution company in Japan, named Celluloid Japan. This company had collaborated with a Japanese distribution company named Dozo for distributing Charlie with Japanese subtitles. Celluloid Japan is an Indian film distribution company which has four Malayalees as its high officials. Their aim is to promote Indian movies in Japan and they had released almost 20 Indian movies in Japan including Malayalam and Tamil movies.

When they released Charlie without subtitle there, it had got good appreciation. So they decided to release it again with Japanese subtitles. It will be showed there with Japanese subtitles in the famous Kineki Theater in Omori on May 15th and May 29th. They had released Action Hero Biju as well this year there but without subtitles.
Charlie which is written by Unni R and Martin Prakkat had Dulquer Salmaan and Parvathy in lead roles. Unfortunately this state award winning film is not there to contest for National film awards here in India. But this achievement will be a source of great happiness for the entire team of the film.
