Ranveer Singh plays the lead role in the film as the legendary Kapil Dev, who was the team’s skipper then. His character poster was released by the makers today. Last day, it was revealed that actor Tahir Raj Bhasin plays the role of legendary cricketer Sunil Gavaskar.
Krishnamachari Srikkanth was one of the most integral players in India’s 80s cricket team. The swashbuckling opener from Tamil Nadu was known for his intimidating style of play. Jiiva seems to be an ideal choice as he has a cricketing background and has played the game in various levels.
