Court issues notice for the makers of Adam Malayalam movie
Latest Malayalam movie, Adam has been in the news for sometime now. Adam is a movie based on the concept of Anti Christ. Movies based on Anti Christ is a rarity in Malayalam Cinema.
Earlier movies like Rain Rain Come Again had some characters sketched on the basis of the concept, but not entirely on this idea. Now Adam is again in the news but this time for wrong reasons. The makers of Adam are in legal trouble for hurting Christian religious beliefs and sentiments. The Honorable Munsif court of Paravur has issued a notice for the makers of Adam for the same. MJ Vargheese hailing from Kothankulam has filed the complaint.
The court has issued notice to the director Zamar, Producer Jose, production controller Hochmin, District Collector and Chief Secretarty. The movie is slated to release on 30th of this month. Vargheese claims that the movie has scenes like standing on a Bible and damaging the statue of Jesus Christ, which apparently hurts the sentiments of the Christian community.
Vargheese has earlier filed a complaint to the district collector for stopping the release of the movie immediately. Since there was no settlement over the issue, Vargheese later filed a petition before the court.
Vargheese has submitted the trailer,official posters along with the complaint in the court. The court has issued notice to the concerned authorities asking for explanation regarding the issue. The case has been adjourned to October 4th.
