Director Kannan Thamarakkulam praises Kunchacko Boban’s Shikkari Shambu!
Kunchacko Boban’s Shikkari Shambu, which was released last Saturday (January 20), continues to do great business at the box office. Coming from the ‘Ordinary’ trio of Kunchacko Boban, director Sugeeth and writer Nishad Koya, the movie has delivered what was expected out of it – wholesome entertainment.
Despite releasing amidst a flurry of movies, Shikkari Shambu has managed to grab the audience attention. Families have lapped up the movie courtesy the good laughs that it offers. Recently, director Kannan Thamarakkulam heaped praise on the movie through his Facebook handle. He particularly mentioned about the last 15 minutes of the film, which he found as emotionally moving.
Shikkari Shambu’s story is written by Shanavas Abbas and Raju Chandra. It is set in a fictional village Kuruthimalakavu, which is under the attack of tiger. The core plot takes off after Peeli, played by Kunchacko Boban, and his gang reach the village in the disguise of wild hunters.
Sshivada plays Kunchacko Boban’s pair in the movie. ‘Kattapanayile Rithwik Roshan’ fame Vishnu Unnikrishnan, Hareesh Kanaran, Krishna Kumar, newbie Alphonsa and Salim Kumar play other major roles. Directors Aji John, Johnny Antony and MA Noushad are also part of the supporting cast. Popular Tamil producer RK Suresh is playing the villain role in this movie.
