Lijo Jose Pellissery directorial Multi star flick named Double Barrel seems to be in some kind of problems regarding the release. As the latest update from the team says that the film will hit the screens on this coming Onam season. Earlier they reported that the film will come to screen on this Ramzan season and now it is postponed again to Onam. The case now is that nobody is quite sure about whether it will release at Onam season as well owes much to it’s continues postponements.
The film is much anticipated due to two main reasons. One is the awesome star cast of the movie which includes Prithviraj, his brother Indrajith, young stars Asif Ali, Kollywood’s rising star Arya and along with them artists like Chemaban Vinod, Vijay Babu, Swathy Reddy, Isha Shervani, Vinayakan etc. The second reason for its anticipation that it is next film of Lijo Jose Pellissery after the super success of the Fahad Fazil starrer film Amen.
Double Barrel had first all set to be release on March 2015 but it had postponed to April. Then when April came the film had postponed to May 15. Later that date too changed much to the disappointment of the fans and it had again postponed to July 17 as an Eid release. And now the story repeats as it had postponed again to Onam.
The film is financed and distributed by August cinemas which is owned by Prithviraj, Santhosh Sivan, Shaji Nadeshan and now Arya too joined them as per reports. No one clearly know why the film is postponing continuously. There are some news doing its round in social media circles as well as in industry circles is that the budget of the film had went beyond their expectations and that triggered some kind of issues in the production side of the flick.
But these all are were rumors and we really don’t know about its authenticity. But people has already become impatient to a level that they seems to be just gave up on the film as per the reports coming from some social media pages.
