Gopi Sundar in plagiarism issue again : Pulimurugan theme song is an copied one ?
Gopi Sundar is one of the most popular and most sought after music directors in Mollywood and without any doubt we can say that he is the one who had delivered most number of hit songs in the recent past in Mollywood cinema.
But he is also criticized by some section of people as they tells that most of his hit songs were inspired from other language songs or from music created by others.
Many times people had come up with songs from which Gopi Sundar had got inspired. The latest in the list was the theme song which he had tuned for Mohanlal starrer Vysakh movie named Pulimurugan, which is on its way to become the all-time biggest success in Malayalam cinema.
The theme song of Pulimurugan is a chartbuster hit in Kerala and last day he had released the song, after getting so much request from the audience.
But now, it had landed in plagiarism controversy as some people pointing out that Gopi Sundar had made that tune after got inspired from a devotional song that released years back in Kerala. It is said to be inspired from a devotional song dedicated to Goddess Chottanikkara Devi.
He had come under scanner, when films like Bangalore Days, Kali, 1983 etc come out as well. But people love his songs and Gopi Sundar says, that’s what matters at the end of the day.
Pulimurugan theme song is now become a trending song here in Kerala and Gopi Sundar’s songs and background scoring was sensational in this movie.
