I’ll never forget the love and encouragement you gave me during my childhood; AR Rahman pays his condolences to Arjunan Master!
Legendary music director MK Arjunan passed away in Kochi on Monday. Several celebrities from the Malayalam film industry paid tributes through their social media handles. AR Rahman, who had worked with Arjunan Master as a keyboardist during his childhood days, paid a moving tribute. Sharing a photo from one of their recording sessions, Rahman wrote about the love and encouragement showered upon him by the veteran.
AR Rahman’s tweet reads,
An act of kindness lasts a lifetime. I will never forget the love & encouragement you gave me during my childhood.Your innumerable melodic songs are a testament for your everlasting legacy. May you rest in peace MK Arjunan Master…My condolences to the family, friends & admirers

During a career spanning around 50 years in the film industry, Arjunan Master has composed music for more than 500 songs in over 218 Malayalam films. Though he has been active in the industry for around five decades, he was honored with the Kerala State award for the time in 2017 for his work in ‘Bhayanakam’. The last released film for which he composed music was ‘Vellaram Kunnile Vellimeenukal’.
