Jana Gana Mana: Prithviraj and Suraj Venjaramoodu reunite for Queen fame Dijo Jose’s next
After the superhit success of ‘Driving Licence’, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu are coming together once again for a new film titled ‘Jana Gana Mana’. It is directed by Dijo Jose Antony. Shoot for the film has already started. Due to the Covid 19 situation, the makers are following all the necessary safety protocols during the shoot.
Dijo’s directorial debut ‘Queen’ was a sleeper hit at the box office. He is also noted for helming some ad films with superstar Mohanlal. Since his maiden film was a youthful entertainer with newcomers in the lead, it will be interesting to see how he extracts the performances out of two seasoned actors, Prithviraj and Suraj. Details regarding the genre and cast and crew members of ‘Jana Gana Mana’ are not yet known.
Both Prithviraj and Suraj Venjaramoodu have multiple other projects coming up. Suraj had recently completed shooting for a thriller film titled ‘Roy’. It is directed by Sunil Ibrahim of ‘Chapters’ fame. ‘Kaanekaane’, ‘Udaya’, ‘Higuita’ and ‘Grrr’ are some of his other upcoming projects.
Prithviraj meanwhile has committed for several projects, which includes both small scale films and highly ambitious ones like ‘Kaaliyan’, ‘Vaariyamkunnan’, ‘Karachi 81’ and a multilingual film that is planned to be shot completely in virtual production. ‘Kaduva’ with Shaji Kailas, ‘Ayalvaashi’ with Irshad Parari’ and ‘Vilayath Buddha’ with Jayan Nambiar are also in the pipeline.
