Ending all speculation about delays, actor Karthi and director Lokesh Kanagaraj have officially confirmed that Kaithi 2 is on track. In a recent social media post, Karthi shared a picture with Lokesh Kanagaraj, where he placed the director’s signature silver kada on his wrist, signaling the return of his iconic character, Dilli. The actor captioned the post with “DILLI RETURNS,” tagging Dream Warrior Pictures and KVN Productions, hinting at their involvement in the project.
Earlier, there were concerns that Kaithi 2 might face delays due to Lokesh’s commitment to Coolie, his upcoming film with Rajinikanth. However, with the latest update from Karthi and Lokesh, fans can now rest assured that the much-anticipated sequel is moving forward. Meanwhile, Coolie is shaping up to be a star-studded action entertainer featuring actors like Nagarjuna, Upendra, and possibly Aamir Khan in a cameo role.
On the other hand, Karthi is currently shooting for Sardar 2, directed by P. S. Mithran, which is set for a 2025 release. The actor also has Vaa Vaathiyaar lined up for release.
