Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2 look revealed?
Ace filmmaker Shankar and Kamal Haasan are reuniting after two long decades for the sequel of their 1996 classic film, Indian. Pre-production for the movie is currently progressing. If reports are to be believed, the art department has already started erecting huge sets in Rao Film City in Hyderabad. The movie is expected to start rolling in the film city once the set works are over.
Ever since, Haasan formed his own party ‘Makkal Needhi Maiam’, he been very busy with his political tours and commitments. He is expected to take a break from all that when he joins the sets of Indian 2. Recently, he was spotted sporting a majestic handlebar moustache. Buzz in social medias is that Haasan will be sporting this new look in Indian 2. If it turns out to be true, fans will get to see a never before seen avatar of the Ulaganayagan.
Indian 2 will have Kamal Haasan reprising the role of vigilante Senapathi. His stellar perfomance in a dual role in Indian won him his third National award. The movie was also India’s official submission for the Academy Award for best foreign language film that year. Expectations are huge when Shankar and Kamal Haasan team up for the sequel of a classic like Indian.
Director Shankar meanwhile is finalizing the cast and crew members. Nayanthara is said to be the top contender for the female lead and Anirudh might compose music for the movie. Cinematographer Ravi Varman and art director T Muthuraj are already confirmed in the technical crew. Unlike Shankar’s other recent films, Indian 2 will not have much VFX or CG works, so they are planning to release the movie by mid 2019 itself.
