Karan Johar wishes to direct Vikram in a Tamil movie
Bollywood director Karan Johar is known for his movies with ultra lavish lifestyles and rich settings. He is one director famous for his larger than life showcasing of characters on screen.
In a recent interview, when asked about his entry to South Indian film industry, KJo as he is popularly called expressed his wish to direct Chiyaan Vikram in a Tamil movie.
Karan Johar said that there is something about Vikram that he likes very much. Vikram has acted in Hindi movies like Mani Ratnam’s Raavan and Bejoy Nambiar’s David.
The dubbed version of Anniyan and his performance in ‘I’ popularized him among the North Indian audience.
Karan Johar’s latest release Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is still running successfully in theatres after minting over 100 crores from the box office. The movie was plagued by many controversies prior to the release but still the movie emerged successful. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil had Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anushka Sharma and Fawad Khan in the lead roles.
Vikram is getting ready for the Tamil remake of Hollywood movie Don’t Breathe. There were reports that the actor is on a diet to lose pounds to play the blind character played by Stephen Lang in the original. There has been no official word about who will direct this movie as of now.
Vikram will also be joining with director Hari for the sequel to the blockbuster movie Saamy. His last release was Irumugan, where he played a dual role for the first time in his career. The movie was a commercial success.
It will be refreshing to see Karan Johar directing a movie with Vikram. Karan is known for making endearingly beautiful romantic movies while Vikram’s dedication and commitment to the craft is unmatched.
